Men United -  Future dates:

Curry Night, Thurs 24 January 7-9.30pm, Frome Football Club, £10/head

In order to clarify our thinking (that’s all of us!) it is proposed our next meeting will provide an opportunity to ‘shape’ and ‘own’ the programme for the coming year(s). It will be full of humour, your thoughts and ideas, and, most importantly God’s presence and inspiration! Please pray and invite any friends along.

Additional dates for 2019 (all Thursdays):

21 March

12 September

21 November

Regional Gathering. Sat 18 May 2019 10am-4pm Cheese and Grain.

PLEASE mark the date in your diaries. It is the first regional gathering of the Men-United groups in Bath, Trowbridge, Frome and Radstock. The plan is to provide an inspirational day of teaching, testimony and worship to inspire local men on their journey of faith. Linvoy Primus MBE, a former professional footballer and now an engaging speaker is currently booked and hopefully Mike Hill will be the main speaker. It would be a truly wonderful thing to fill the heart of Frome with prayer and praise flowing from the C&G. Do please pray for the planning of the day which is in the hands of members from each Men-United group.

Broad plans for 2019 may be found by clicking here. Please email John Samways at to reserve a place for any of the events.   Also, the Men's United Trowbridge September newsletter is availabe here.

Refugees and Frome

Rob and Ann Taylor are supporting one of the Syrian Refugee families to settle in Frome. They are doing wonderfully well and starting to settle. The family consists of Mum, Dad and 2 girls under 5 years. Mum is now pregnant and expecting a baby in April. At present they live in a 2 bedroom flat, which will be too small when the baby comes. We are therefore looking for a larger property with either 2 large or 3 bedrooms. Would it be possible to put the word out in your churches to ask if anybody knows of a property that could be rented by the family. We can give more specific details if anybody needs them - please contact

Community Council for Somerset
