The Lighthouse Messy Church

The next "LIGHTHOUSE" MESSY CHURCH for all the family is on Sunday afternoons.

Come as a family and join in the fun! We’ll explore a bible story in a fresh way and enjoy fun, messy and creative activities plus songs, games and a proper family tea!

Suggested donation £2.00 per family.

Everyone welcome.

The Lighthouse is only five times a year so don’t miss out! Put the Christmas special, Sunday 3rd December, in your diaries.

Please see the Regular Events page for more information.

The Men's Curry Night Programme for 2018 may be found by clicking here. Please email John Samways at john.samways28@btinternet.com to reserve a place for any of the events. John says:

"Do please book in soon for the next Curry Night in a couple of weeks time – Wednesday 31 Jan @ 7pm Frome Town FC. Would be great if you bring along a friend or two. Please let me know if you want vegetarian or non-curry meal – but hopefully we’ll not make it too complicated for Simon the chef. The speaker is Tim Bruce, Head of Housing, Wiltshire County Council and a Worship Leader in SW England - see www.timbrucemusic.co.uk

Tim is a colleague of Ian Gibbons, our last speaker. Ian concluded his talk with a timely word that has been shared in a number of local churches in the SW. That word came through Tim and he will be sharing his passion for building the Kingdom through the work place and the gift of music.

Do let me know if any problems/questions. Looking forward to seeing you and catching up."

Somerset Churches Together (SACT)

Please see an update from Alan Dixon on forthcoming Somerset Churches Together events here. The monthly SACT Newsletter can be found at the bottom of this page.

Plans have been finalised for the Churches Together in Somerset events in 2018.

As part of "Mission Explored", the theme for the Forum will be ‘Transformation of Communities’. The AGM and Forum will be held at 1.30pm on Thursday 22nd February 2018 at Nailsea Baptist Church, 79 Silver St, Nailsea, Bristol BS48 2DS.

Because we will have as our guest for the day, Roy Crowne, National Director of Hope Together - Towards 2018 we have changed the Forum format to allow Roy time to speak about the role of the churches in helping to bring about transformation in places of need. Biographical details about Roy can be found at the end of this email.

Transformation of communities is an important topic, which is of interest to all our churches, churches together groups and Local Ecumenical Partnerships.

Booking for the event is in three parts: for the AGM, for the Mission Explored event and for the hot supper which we will be pleased to provide. Bookings for one of more parts of the day can be made on the www.eventbrite.com/e and searching for "Churches Together in Somerset" events.
