Lent Courses will also take place in and around Frome - details may be found by clicking here. Whilst there is a variety of different courses available, all the courses explore what it means to be a disciple of Christ, and give participants the opportunity to talk about their faith and be encouraged by that of others.

The draft programme of local services may be found here after it has been published in the local newspaper.

Men's Curry Nights

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 25 April when the Speaker is Dr John Bradshaw.

An inspirational speaker, John grew up on his family farm in Zimbabwe. He shares his story from when a booby trapped land mine exploded in his face causing blindness; subsequently obtaining a PhD in Computer Science from Cambridge University; his path to becoming the only blind headmaster in the world of a ‘normal’ school – the top girls boarding school in Zimbabwe; his move to Sherbourne in Dorset where he now lives.

The Men's Curry Night Programme for 2018 may be found by clicking here. Please email John Samways at john.samways28@btinternet.com to reserve a place for any of the events.

Refugees and Frome

Rob and Ann Taylor are supporting one of the Syrian Refugee families to settle in Frome. They are doing wonderfully well and starting to settle. The family consists of Mum, Dad and 2 girls under 5 years. Mum is now pregnant and expecting a baby in April. At present they live in a 2 bedroom flat, which will be too small when the baby comes. We are therefore looking for a larger property with either 2 large or 3 bedrooms. Would it be possible to put the word out in your churches to ask if anybody knows of a property that could be rented by the family. We can give more specific details if anybody needs them - please contact robandanntaylor@hotmail.com
