Frome Community Group News Sunday Cafe

Minutes of the most recent, special FACT Executive meeting are available now on the Agenda page.

We’ll be hosting a semi-local band: Back Before Breakfast to give us some mood music and set the tone for the rest of the weekend! Come, invite friends and neighbours! It’s not a “church event”. It’s an event run by Christians! Of course there’s elements of our faith mixed in!  As the label says, “Live Entertainment with a twist of Faith”!

The next AGM is on Tuesday 29th May 2018 at Holy Trinity Frome at 7.17 for 7.30pm. The Agenda and papers for the meeting may be found on the Agenda page.

Men's Curry Nights- Future dates:

Weds 18 July. Speakers: Bryce Tangvald and Richard Kelly – the two pioneer ministers engaged with the wider community here in the Frome area.

Weds 7 July. Speaker: Rt Rev Mike Hill who recently retired as Bishop of Bristol.

Both evenings are full of promise on many levels.

Saturday 18 May 2019 10am-4pm Cheese and Grain.

Although this is a long way off, PLEASE mark the date in your diaries. It is the first regional gathering of the Men-United groups in Bath, Trowbridge, Frome and Radstock. The plan is to provide an inspirational day of teaching, testimony and worship to inspire local men on their journey of faith. Linvoy Primus MBE, a former professional footballer and now an engaging speaker is currently booked and hopefully Mike Hill will be the main speaker. It would be a truly wonderful thing to fill the heart of Frome with prayer and praise flowing from the C&G. Do please pray for the planning of the day which is in the hands of members from each Men-United group.

The Men's Curry Night Programme for 2018 may be found by clicking here. Please email John Samways at john.samways28@btinternet.com to reserve a place for any of the events.

Refugees and Frome

Rob and Ann Taylor are supporting one of the Syrian Refugee families to settle in Frome. They are doing wonderfully well and starting to settle. The family consists of Mum, Dad and 2 girls under 5 years. Mum is now pregnant and expecting a baby in April. At present they live in a 2 bedroom flat, which will be too small when the baby comes. We are therefore looking for a larger property with either 2 large or 3 bedrooms. Would it be possible to put the word out in your churches to ask if anybody knows of a property that could be rented by the family. We can give more specific details if anybody needs them - please contact robandanntaylor@hotmail.com
